Xiao Kairong is a professor of translation studies, Deputy Dean of the College of International Studies, Southwest University. He holds a PhD degree in English Language & Literature and has professional experience as a translator and interpreter. He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Kent State University between November, 2019 and October, 2020. He is currently a member of TREC (Translation, Research, Empiricism, and Cognition) Network and also working as Secretary of China Society of Cognitive Translation Studies. His research interests include cognitive translation studies, cognitive linguistics, contrastive studies of English and Chinese, translation of Chinese classics, and translation education.

学习与工作经历

2000年西南师范大学英语专业本科毕业留校任教，2002年至2005年在西南师范大学beat365唯一官网app攻读英语语言文学硕士，2008年至2012年在beat365唯一官网app·(中国)有限公司官网攻读英语语言文学专业博士。2007年7月至2008年3月在beat365唯一官网app国际合作与交流处兼职任译员及国际项目负责人。2010年8月至2011年8月以访问学者身份在英国曼彻斯特大学从事翻译学研究。2016年至2022年在广东外语外贸大学翻译学研究中心从事博士后研究。2019年11月至2020年10月以中美富布赖特研究学者身份在美国肯特州立大学从事翻译学研究。
